Summertime in your apartment!

Partridge Hill - Monday, July 20, 2015

An effective and inexpensive way to give your apartment a summer time lift is to add colorful decorative pillows and/or a unique rug for that added character. Bring in some fresh cut flowers and place them into a colorful decorative vase to compliment your new accessories.

Or why not open your windows to enjoy the sunshine and wonderful scent of summer? I for one love the smell of fresh cut grass or the scent after a rain fall.

Most of all, embrace the season because before you know it we will have frigid temperatures and snow!

Earth Day - April 22, 2015

Partridge Hill - Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Earth Day occurs every year on April 22nd where events occur worldwide to demonstrate support for environmental protection. This holiday is celebrated in more than 192 countries each year.

Peace activist John McConnell, proposed a day to honor the Earth and the concept of peace in 1969 at a UNESCO Conference in San Francisco. He proposed the day to first be celebrated on March 21, 1970, the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere. However, a month later a separate Earth Day was founded by United States Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in first held on April 22, 1970.

Denis Hayes, the original coordinator in 1970, launched an organization to take Earth Day international in 1990 and organized events in 141 nations. All around the world numerous communities celebrate Earth Day with an entire week of activities to be solely focused on environmental issues.

What will you do on Earth Day this year to help support environmental protection?

Holocaust Memorial Days 2015

Partridge Hill - Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Holocaust remembrance week is April 12-19th. Holocaust Remembrance Day is the nation's annual commemoration of the Holocaust victims which had an estimated death toll of more than 6 million people in the mass murder campaign during World War II.

Each year state and local governments, workplaces, military bases, religious organizations, schools, and civic centers host observances and remembrance activities for their communities. These events usually occur during the Week of Remembrance, which runs from the Sunday before Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom Hashoah) through the following Sunday.

Why not grab your favorite pair of sneaks and enjoy a beautiful walk around the complex to visit with your neighbors or stop into the Rental Office and say a friendly hello!
